This here is a piece that I love mostly for it's delicacy and contrast <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="15" height="15" alt=":aww:" title="Aww"/>

I have never seen real snow myself, so I particularly appreciate this fine and detailed view of a individual little snowflake. It is also an example of one of my favourite macro photography compositions, the square. It has been used to great effect, and in my mind, creates an almost yin-yang like contrast between the light and dark colours. It really does add to a calm and harmonious atmosphere in the piece.

The colours are slightly muted but the inclusion of a somewhat vibrant blue as opposed to straight grey or black shadows adds to the dynamic aspect of this work. Again and perhaps most importantly of all the pictures from this deviant I have critiqued so far, is the perfect use of focus, bringing the viewer's attention into the very centre of the contrast and composition in order to appreciate the lovely and unique details of the precious little flake.

Congratulations on yet another wonderful piece! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>
